Coming soon! New Preservation Profiles podcast series seeks sponsors

What do an advocate, a conflict management specialist, a Native American historian and repatriation specialist, a state historic preservation officer, the president of a statewide preservation organization, and a leader with a federal agency perspective have in common? They are all part of the National Preservation Institute’s first podcast series, Preservation Profiles. NPI is privileged to know and collaborate with people in a wide range of areas within the preservation movement. Preservation Profiles offers an insider look at the historic preservation and cultural resource management community.

The show will be hosted by Jane I. Seiter, Ph.D. (with Oxford Tree-Ring Laboratory) and produced by Hannah Hethmon of Better Lemon Creative Audio.

NPI offers continuing education and professional training for those involved in the management, preservation, and stewardship of cultural heritage. NPI is celebrating its 40th anniversary! One way we are acknowledging this milestone is by producing our own free podcast series, Preservation Profiles. The first series of six podcasts will begin in July 2020, with a new episode airing every two weeks. Sponsorships are available now!

We hope you enjoy listening to these experienced preservationists as we capture a glimpse into the special work they do and the insights they provide. As leaders in the field, they provoke, prod, inspire, motivate, and teach others to respond through their actions. Learn about their preservation philosophies, inspiration, and accomplishments. Episodes will touch on advocacy, laws and regulations, preservation planning, intangible aspects of historic preservation stewardship, and more. Explore why preservation matters to our podcast guests, how it can make a difference in improving the future quality of life for people in communities around the country, and links to this year’s history in the making — from the pandemic to protests on social inequality and racism.

We are seeking sponsors to fund Preservation Profiles production costs. Please share this notice with anyone you know who might be interested in supporting and investing in historic preservation — an individual, company, or other supportive organization.

Sponsors will be listed on all podcast promotional materials, mentioned at the start and end of episodes sponsored, and included in each sponsored podcast’s 30-second midroll sponsor message. A single episode sponsorship is $300 with your choice of episode; a full season, six-episode sponsorship is $2,000. To become a sponsor at any level, contact Jere Gibber, Executive Director, National Preservation Institute, 703.765.0100, info@npi.org.
